IMPORTANT STAR TESTING INFORMATION

Dear Parents,

Dale Junior High School will be undergoing STAR Testing for two weeks. Strong test scores are an important part of your child’s achievement. Testing will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from April 27th, 28th, and 30th and the following week on May 4th, 5th, and 7th.

· On Tuesday, April the 27th, 7th and 8th graders will be testing Part 1 of English.

· On Wednesday, April the 28th, 8th graders will be tested in Science.

· On Friday, April 30th, 7th and 8th graders will finish Part 2 of their testing in English.

Testing will also be the following week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from May 4th, May 5th, and May the 7th.

· On Tuesday, May 4th, 7th and 8th graders will be testing Part 1 of Math.

· On Wednesday, May 5th, 8th graders will be testing in history Part 1 and Part 2.

· On Friday, May 7th, 7th and 8th graders will be finishing Part 2 of Math.

Some helpful tips we have shared with the students include:

• Eating a healthy breakfast

• Arriving to school early

• Going to bed early the previous night

• And encouraging your child to do her/his best!
